QP CLOVER DOC
BREED FROM A PROVEN CHAMPION
NOVICE CAMPDRAFT WINNER & PRODUCER OF OPEN CAMPDRAFT WINNERS
Foaled in 1995, QP Clover Doc (DEC) was a cornerstone sire of our breeding program. Purchased from Western Australia in 2015, he was selected for his exceptional pedigree and proven performance genetics as an own son of Doc's Spinifex (imp).
His maternal lineage is equally impressive, being out of Little Peppy Kate, an own daughter of Little Peppy Doc and the outstanding Clover Kate Kelly. Combining some of the industry's most respected bloodlines, QP Clover Doc consistently passed on athleticism, trainability, cow sense and versatility to his progeny.
His influence continues to be seen throughout our breeding program, with many of his offspring carrying forward the qualities that made him such a valuable sire and leaving a lasting legacy for Texas Star Performance Horses.

Studbook Quarter Horse stallion foaled 29/09/1995. QP Clover Doc was purchased from Western Australia in December 2015 to be an integral influential sire for our stud, as he is an own son of Doc’s Spinifex (imp). His dam, Little Peppy Kate, is an own daughter of Little Peppy Doc, out of the exceptional grand-dam Clover Kate Kelly.
Doc’s Spinifex (imp) is renowned as being the most influential sire Australia has ever seen. He is the #1 All Time Leading Sire of Cutting Horses with a convincing $3.671 million.
QP Clover Doc possesses an exceptional temperament and is a sire that is a pleasure to do anything with. He boasts all the attributes of a great horse and that of a sire. He produces family horses that are capable competition horses and excellent work horses. Ride all week and have fun on the weekend.
His original owner Matt Herbert purchased him from Gracemere Quarter Horse Sale back in 1995, he lived in the Pilbara in Western Australia at the time. Over the time Matt owned Clover Doc he bred 85 foals of which he still retains ten and campdrafts four. Those horses were ridden in some of the roughest country in Western Australia, they never experienced soundness problems, they worked 10-12 hours a day every third day and none ever failed to make the day out, hard days with helicopters and vehicles mustering.
